WAVES
Falling between straight and curly hair, this type features gentle waves ranging from subtle to more pronounced. Some may mistakenly believe their hair is straight, but with the right methods, they can achieve an “S Curl” effect. Wavy hair tends to be fine and has low frizz. To enhance volume and define waves, we recommend using a diffuser. Celebrities like Lorde and Carrie Underwood have beautiful natural waves.
S-CURL
The strands in this pattern form an elegant S shape. This hair type has a medium texture and can be prone to slight frizziness, especially in humid conditions. It possesses plenty of body and may require extra hydration due to its somewhat dry nature. Drying S-Curls with a diffuser can create ringlet curls, while air-drying with added root products can enhance the body, particularly for longer hair. Celebrities such as Shakira and Sarah Jessica Parker sport this fabulous curl type.
RINGLET CURL
Boasting corkscrew-like or bouncy ringlets similar in circumference to a Sharpie marker, this curl type starts directly from the root and has a medium to coarse texture. Like S-Curls, ringlet curls can be prone to frizz in humid weather and tend to have a dense packed appearance, resulting in abundant body. These curls exhibit a slight spring-back effect when cut and do not necessarily require a diffuser to dry, unless one desires a tighter Spiral Curl. Celebrities like Julianna Margulies and Annalynne McCord showcase their stunning ringlet curls.
SPIRAL CURL
Resembling ringlet curls, spiral curls possess a tighter corkscrew pattern, measuring about the circumference of a pencil. These curls start directly from the root, are susceptible to frizz, and have a dense structure. Similar to ringlet curls, spiral curls tend to grow outward before they grow downward, providing a significant spring-back effect when cut.
